Dan Crowley Summer Associate
Bio
Dan Crowley is a rising 2L at the University of San Francisco School of Law. He was born and raised in Los Angeles and earned his Bachelor of Science from Indiana University’s School of Public Health in 2022.
During college, Dan completed a season of backcountry trail maintenance in federally designated Wilderness areas across Southern Oregon and Northern California, including regions impacted by the Slater Fire. This experience sparked his long-term interest in wildfire and environmental issues. After graduating, Dan worked as a law clerk at a firm specializing in wildfire litigation, where he assisted on complex civil cases involving both individual plaintiffs and subrogation claims, while also considering a career in wildland firefighting. Ultimately, his passion for legal advocacy won out, and he began preparing for law school.
At USF, Dan is an active member of the Environmental Law Student and Alumni Society (ELSAS) and contributes to the men’s club rugby team as both a player and assistant coach.
This summer, Dan joins Venardi Zurada LLP as a Summer Associate, where he looks forward to deepening his litigation experience and working on behalf of plaintiffs. Outside of work and academics, he enjoys playing and watching rugby, hiking, camping, and spending time at the beach.
