As an associate partner of 49ers Cal-Hi Sports, Venardi Zurada proudly presents the Hometown Hero segment, recognizing high school boosters who make significant contributions to their communities through donations and volunteer work. This week, we honor John Diatte, head coach of the Valley Christian Baseball team, whose dedication and leadership have made a lasting impact on his athletes and community.
Coach Diatte recently celebrated his 800th career win as head coach of the Warriors, making him one of only seven high school baseball coaches to reach this milestone. Since joining Valley Christian in 1984, he has guided his teams to 11 CCS titles, demonstrating extraordinary commitment, skill, and mentorship over decades of coaching.
The Hometown Hero program is designed to shine a spotlight on individuals like Coach Diatte, whose efforts go beyond wins and championships. Their focus on nurturing student-athletes, fostering teamwork, and building community exemplifies the values Venardi Zurada champions in both law and service to the Bay Area.
