In a celebration of community and generosity, Venardi Zurada hosted the First Annual Back to School Event in collaboration with Shoe Palace and San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. The event was created with the goal of giving local students a strong start to the new school year and to emphasize the power of community coming together for a meaningful cause.
More than 300 backpacks filled with essential school supplies were provided to students and families in attendance, helping ensure they had everything needed for a successful year ahead. In addition to the school materials, students enjoyed complimentary haircuts and styling services, with nail painting stations available to boost confidence and ensure every child felt ready for the school year.
The energy at the event was contagious, with laughter and excitement filling the air as children participated in live raffles. Several lucky winners walked away with brand new Nike shoes, adding to the excitement. Mountain Mike’s Pizza also contributed to the festive atmosphere by generously providing free pizza for all the students, making sure everyone stayed fueled and happy throughout the event.
A highlight of the day was a special appearance by Sourdough Sam, the beloved San Francisco 49ers mascot, whose enthusiasm helped cheer on the crowd and bring even more smiles to the children’s faces. Fred Warner and the 49ers’ community partners were also present, ensuring the event was memorable for every student and family in attendance.
The success of this event was made possible through the collective efforts of local partners, volunteers, and community supporters. Venardi Zurada’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves was evident in every part of the day, and the goal of making a positive impact on local youth was achieved and celebrated.
Special thanks to Fred Warner, Shoe Palace, Mountain Mike’s Pizza, Sourdough Sam, and all the volunteers whose time and energy made this event unforgettable. The success of the First Annual Back to School Event sets a strong foundation for what is anticipated to become an ongoing tradition of support, encouragement, and community spirit for years to come.
