A motor vehicle accident is typically when one vehicle collides with another. A combination of cars, pickups, vans, trucks. Most of our cases on the personal injury side are motor vehicle collisions. They’re the most common things that happen to drivers. One car doing something wrong or doing something careless and they end up colliding and hitting each other. The most important thing to do is first to get somewhere that’s safe. Try to get the other driver to do the same. And if you can, you want to call the police so that the police arrives and does a report because that can help establish that the other driver is at fault. A lot of times when people are injured in a car collision, they don’t immediately know it. They have a lot of adrenaline flowing through their body, but all they want to do is just get home. And then whether it’s the night of or the next day is when they start feeling those injuries. The inflammation sets in. What’s really important is that you don’t wait, that you go and see your doctor. It’s not an even playing field.
